Time Travel & Branching

Navigate project history and create alternate timelines.

What is Time Travel?

Time Travel lets you navigate to any point in your project's history and see exactly what the state was at that moment. Every action creates an immutable event, enabling complete auditability.

Timeline View

The Timeline view shows all events in chronological order. You can:

  • Click any event to travel to that point
  • Use playback controls (play, pause, step forward/backward)
  • Adjust playback speed
  • Jump to start or end
  • Return to live state

Ghost State

When viewing history, you see Ghost State — a visual overlay showing historical data. Compare historical state with current state to see what changed.

Creating Branches

Branches let you create alternate timelines — "what-if" scenarios:

  1. Navigate to a historical point
  2. Click "Create Branch"
  3. Give it a name and description
  4. Continue working in the alternate timeline

Compare branches to see how different approaches would have worked out.
